GREAT is leasing a 1900 square foot plot of land in the Awbury Arboretum to use as a shared space to grow food and herbs. Around 15 Germantown neighbors will share the responsibilities of tending the farm, and will share the harvest with each other.

We just started at the end of March; workdays are presently Wednesdays and Saturday mornings. Members can choose which workdays to come to, and can help water during the week. 

No experience is necessary!

This project is for Germantown folks who:

• want to garden with other neighbors  

• or want to grow food but don't have time, energy, or physical ability to do it all on their own 

• or don’t have space to grow food at home

• want to learn about growing food, or want to share their skills so other folks can learn
